E. Coli Breakout

         Seven new cases of E. Coli were reported on January 10th.  The total number of cases in the U.S is now up to 24 victims.  These 24 cases have been reported in 15 different states.  Two of the victims have been hospitalized with kidney failure and one patient has even died.  The cause for the outbreak have been narrowed down to leafy vegetables such as cabbage and spinach.  This disease is not only in the United States but around the same number of cases have been reported in Canada.  E. Coli is a deadly disease that targets the whole body but its effects are on the digestive system.  The sickness usually last for about five to seven days but it can turn into Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome which is life threatening.   The disease is common in the young and elderly who have weak immune systems.  To be safe make sure you wash and cook your foods properly and keep good hygiene.  Keep up to date to see the latest development in the E.
