The Boys Win the Balmer Classic

The JV and Varsity Boys Basketball teams took on some different competition over Thanksgiving weekend. They traveled to North Miami to take over the Balmer Classic for the second straight year. The JV won their first game 64-20 with Colton Paxson scoring a game-high of  20 points. Then they took on North Miami in the Championship and won 69-37. The Varsity played Fort Wayne Smith Academy and won 71-47. Three players scored in double digits (Bower 17, Roush 13, Pugh 10).
They had tremendous bench play. The Raiders advanced to the Championship and took on North Miami also winning 76-62. Bower was again leading scorer with 21 then followed by  Roush with 17. This makes both teams two-time defending champs.

Girls Season off to a Quick Start

The Lady Raiders are 3-2 at this point of the season under new head coach Jessica Killingbeck. The Jv Lady Raiders are also 3-2. The Lady Raiders are averaging about 45 points per game and only giving up about 38 points per game. The Lady Raiders next game is Saturday at Wabash JV starts at 6. After taking a year off Kirtlyn Noble seems to be back in the groove of things. She is a good post presence to compliment our good guard trio of Jessica Yencer, Georgia Hanauer, and Jenna Eltzroth. Senior leader Jada Johnson seems to be a good all-around player. Our bench has great depth with Kelli Neff, Kristen Roupp, Juniper Tucker, Malinah Dixon, and Courtney Lemler. Another key part of our team is Sarah Bothast with her nice jumper and ability to get boards.
