Parks and Rec Recap Season 2

In season two of Parks and Rec, we get a lot more action than in season one. In the first episode of this season, Leslie thinks it would be really cute to marry to penguins. However, the two penguins happen to be male. This causes an uproar in Pawnee and many of the citizens want Leslie to resign. The Townspeople get over this eventually as Leslie starts to embrace the fact that she married to male penguins. Leslie and Tom plan a stakeout when Leslie finds out that her best friend Ann is dating her ex-boyfriend Mark. The next episode includes a Pawnee beauty pageant. April joins the pageant when she realizes that the prize for winning is $600. Leslie and Tom are both Judges for this pageant. Tom wants the basic "pretty and pretty dumb" girl to win but Leslie wants a girl named Susan to win. The pretty girl ends up winning the pageant and April quits halfway through when she figures out that the prize is not in cash. It is a gift card to a fencing company. Leslie's date with a police officer named Dave is approaching fast and she is very nervous. Ann helps her by taking her on a practice date and it turns out to be absolutely terrible. In episode 5, Venezuelan people come to Pawnee because Pawnee and Boraqua are sister cities. They visitors treat Leslie like garbage and she blows up on them. The local government has a competition for choosing a new mural for city hall. The parks department comes up with a combination of each members ideas for a single mural and turns out terribly. The gang goes on a hunting trip and Ron gets shot in the head on accident because Tom tried to shoot a bird. Tom gets a divorce for his green card marriage. Dave and Leslie break up and Leslie starts dating Ann's friend Justin. Ron wins a woman of the year award. The gang has 94 meetings in one day because April thought that March 31st wasn't a real day. Chris Traeger and Ben Wyatt are introduced. Come back next week for the season three recap.
