NFL Playoffs

The NFL Playoffs started 2 weeks ago in the Wild Card round. The matchups in the Wild Card round were Titans v.s. Chiefs, Bills v.s. Jaguars, Falcons v.s. Rams, and Panthers v.s. Saints. The teams that were on the bye, which means a week off typically are the Eagles, Vikings, Steelers, and the Patriots. Then in the Divisional round, there was a blowout by the Patriots when they played the Titans. They handed the Titans a 35-14 loss. The Jags and the Steelers were in a battle to the end. The Steelers came roaring back in the Fourth Quarter, but it was just too late Blake Bortles (Jags QB) had a good performance. The Eagles and Falcons kicked off were only Matt Ryan (Falcons QB) had started nine playoff games while his counterpart had only one career playoff start, but in the end, the world saw Nick Foles and the Eagles win 15-10. This led up to one of the best games I have ever seen being the Saints versus the Vikings. The Vikings controlled the whole first half. The second half the Saints came stomping back. The score was 20-14 Vikings lead when Drew Brees threw a short pass for a touchdown, with a made extra point. So now the score was 21-20 the Saints. This is where stuff hit the fan. With 1:29 left in the game the Vikings kicker hit a 53-yard field goal to make the score 23-21 Vikings lead. Then like a clutch Quarterback Drew Brees is he went right down the field with 29 seconds left and lined up his kicker for a 43-yard field goal. The score was 24-23 Saints. I was watching this game as I was on the edge of my seat when they hit that field I was upset. Then miraculously Case Keenum threw a pass to the deep right sideline trying to set up a field goal, but instead, the Saints defender fell down and Stefon Diggs the man who caught the football went 61-yards for the touchdown scoring with zero ticks left on the clock. With the Vikings being victorious 29-24 talk about exciting. This week in the AFC Championship you will see the Jags go into Foxborough trying to knock off a future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. Then on the NFC side, you will see two rising QB's take on each team's violent defenses.
