For those of you looking to tune in for B.A.D. Pinterest this week, we regret to inform you that the S-Dub Hub has been hacked by the infamous Sony hackers that delayed the release of The Interview. Unlike The Interview, when B.A.D. Pinterest returns it won't disappoint. We have the security footage of the hacking below. This hacker is famous for leaving bananas at the scene of the crime. If anybody sees the perpetrator be careful. He can considered armed and incredibly dangerous on account of his poo slinging abilities. If you do see the monkey, send tips to sdubhub@swraiders.com.

Taken 3 - Movie Review
This last Monday, on our snow day off, I went to the Huntington 7 movie theater and watched Taken 3 starring Liam Neeson. This film was very good and action packed just like the previous two movies. I however, thought the movie fell short to my expectations and wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but I was still very happy with the movie. Without giving too much away the movie is about Liam Neeson tracking down the killers and solving the murder of his wife's death which he was framed for. I would rate this movie an 8/10 because Liam Neeson in his role as Bryan Mills uses all of his skills to prove to the CIA, FBI, and police that he is innocent and was framed. No one in the movie really got "taken" like in the first two, so I think the movie should've had a different name. This movie is very suspenseful and action packed and you have no idea who the killer is until the very end. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. They set the ending of the film up perfectly for there to be a Taken 4, so I would not be surprised if in a few years we see Maggie Grace (Kim) and Liam Neeson staring again in another movie.

Raiders Lose To Jay County
The Raiders hosted Jay County tuesday in the opening round of the ACAC tournament. The Raiders came out and had trouble scoring on the very tough Jay County Defense. The Raiders first points came midway through the second quarter from captain Keaton Coleman. The Raiders played hard on defense holding Jay County to only 24 first half points, but the Raiders lack of scoring hurt. At half they trailed by a score of 24-6. The second half was a lot more even but the Raiders first half deficit was too much to overcome. The Raiders fell to a final score of 46-20. The Raiders will play Saturday at 10 AM in the Raiderdome in the consolation bracket against Adam Central. The girls will play Adams Central following the boys game.

Are Snow Days a Good Thing?
In the first two weeks back from break, we experienced a few delays and a few closings. Snow days give us a break from the homework, notes, test, etc. But with these days off, we make them up in the summer, where the weather is beautiful, warm, and bright. Here are a few students' opinions on snow days.
Jessica Yencer- "Snow days are a good thing because you get to be lazy all day, and then go to Taco Bell, and the library and then go cuddle up with a book."
Brant Mechling- "I plead the 5th."
Mason Stevens- "I dislike snow days because I like the summer."
Tess Gilbert- "I dislike them because I can't see people."
Sam Smith- "I love them because I don't do anything."
Landon Lenwell- "I don't because I have to stay home when my parents are gone."
Cole Meeks- "I do because I can clean the sidewalk for my church."

Xbox or PS3
Hunter: When it comes to gaming which type of system do your prefer. The type of system I prefer is a PS3 rather than a Xbox 360. I prefer PS3 because PS3 of three simple reasons. The first reason I prefer PS3 is because, the PlayStation Network is free. PlayStation Network is the ability to play games online against friends, or random people. With Xbox you have to pay to play online. The second reason is because the PS3 comes with a blu-ray drive, so you can watch Blu-ray movies on it. Blu-ray movies are better quality, and better than regular movies. Xbox can only play original movies. The third and final reason why I think the PS3 is better, is because with PS3 controllers they are easier to charge. Some Xbox controllers are rechargeable, but all PS3 controllers are all rechargeable. The PS3 controllers can be charging, while playing your game. For these reasons are why I prefer and think PS3 is better than Xbox.
John: Xbox 360 is a newer console that has better graphics and a better processing system than PS3, also many Large Name Video game producers only make their games for Xbox and not PS3. Bungie is one if not the best producer of games they have produced Platinum hit games such as the Halo series. This is arguably the best gaming series of all time those who think otherwise have never played them and cant put forth a valid opinion. As for the controller argument stated earlier by Hunter, Yes PS3 controllers are rechargeable but they also are not comfortable to hold in your hand they just simply do not fit properly. Some features that Xbox offers are an easily navigable dashboard, their own online movie and game purchasing system. The only real advantage to PS3 is the online is free.

The man, the myth, the legend Spank
Starting this week I will be having interviews with athletes throughout the school, to help you get to know our schools players a little bit better. This week's interview will be with Keaton Coleman.
1. First of all, how did you get the nickname "Spank"?
-... no comment
2. When did you start playing basketball?
-Kindergarten
3. How are you feeling coming off the knee injury?
-I am feeling nervous, and pressured because I know that my team needs me perform well
4. How do you feel being a two time North vs South all-star?
-It is a great honor, the games are very fun and are a great opportunity for college scouts to find good high school basketball players.
5. What have you done to become the two time 2nd team all conference player?
-Have big moments, hit big shots, try to do every little thing right, and do what the coach asks
6. You are also a 2 year regional qualifier for high jump and ACAC champion last year, and a one year regional qualifier for shot put, what in your mind, is your most impressive accomplishment?
-Probably being an ACAC champion in high jump, because I had to beat a 6'4" very athletic Jaylin Bennet who is now playing running back at Indiana State University.
7. Basketball or track?
- That is a very tough question because I love the way that I'm a lone athlete in track because it's not really a team sport, but basketball has been my sport since I was 5.
-... no comment

Student of The Week
This week for student of the week we at the S-Dub Hub have chosen Brandt Couch. A little bit about Brandt, when it comes to which he prefers between books and movies he chooses movies because he likes to be entertained and there aren't very many books that entertain and intrigue him. When I asked Brandt what his favorite school subject is he responded with Ag management. He responded with Ag management not only because he wants to pursue a career in Ag but also because he can relate to many to many of the topics that they cover. It just so happens to be that Brandt's favorite teacher at the school is Mr. Stauffer, no coincidence considering Brandts favorite subject is Ag management and he also wants to pursue a degree in Ag. Using that degree in Ag he wants to be an agronomist and hopefully own his own small livestock operation. It just so turns out that Brandt's middle name is Steven. When asked who his celebrity crush is Brandt replied with Sophia Bush. If he could go anywhere Brandt would go to Saskatchewan, Canada to go hunting. His favorite meal is one surely fit for a king, Brandt's favorite meal would be a rib-eye steak with grilled garlic shrimp mashed potatoes and a caesar salad. If brandt could be one animal he would be a white tail deer so he could figure out how they slip past him every year. This is only a small bit about Brandt. If you see him in the hallway be sure to say hi and give him a high-five!

Raider wrestling against Norwell
The win for the raiders at Norwell started with the weight class 170, and since our Raider wrestling team doesn't have a 170 the night started with Norwell getting 6 team points due to a forfeit. The first match was Ethan Smith at 182, getting one takedown before getting the pin. Next in the Raider lineup was Nik Roberts with one takedown, one escape, and an impressive two reversals before finally pinning his opponent. The next Raider to compete was Jimmy McQueary with a nail biting match that resulted in his win with three takedowns. Representing the Raiders for the smaller weights was Steven Jones getting one takedown then very quickly pinning his opponent from Norwell. The only Raider loss on the night came from Wesley Moore. For the final match was Paul Renner getting three takedowns and finishing off his opponent with a pin.

AFC Championship New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts
It is time for a one of these two teams to go to the Super Bowl in Arizona. It would be Tom Brady's sixth Super Bowl appearance if they win. If the Colts win it would be Andrew Luck's first. It would put New England in it first Super Bowl since 2011 against the Giants. Tom Brady and Coach Bill Belichick have already won three Super Bowl and it is their ninth AFC Championship. They have more experience than any of the 3 teams left. This is including the NFC Championship game. Andrew Luck is 0 - 3 against Brady and Luck stats in these games are terrible. Here are some stats to compare for why New England will return back to the Super Bowl. As you see here below you will see it should be a good game but Luck never has been able to beat Brady and they will not beat them in Foxborough.

Teacher of the Week
Tell us about yourself! (ie. Birthday, family, previous jobs, hobbies, etc.)
December 3 birthday
Have 8 children and 7 grandchildren.
Have worked in a boarding school dormitory as an assistant supervisor, worked in factories like EP Graphics and CTS of Berne, currently work part time at A Friend's House in Bluffton.
Hobbies: Facebook, Internet, Playing the piano, Writing, shopping
What do you like about Southern Wells?
I like the smaller size of SW that allows staff to get to know students better than in large schools.
What is your favorite part of your job?
It is a great feeling to see kids I have known since 6th grade complete high school successfully and graduate! It's always fun to see them after high school and hear about their lives: jobs, families, the military, etc.
If you were animal, what would you be?
I can't imagine. I wouldn't want to be an animal because some people treat them terribly! (But I love dogs...)
Grilled Cheese or cheese toastie?
I say both! Usually it's CHEESE TOASTIE.
What is the craziest thing that has happened to you on the job?
Sometimes I do crazy things in class like sing, or do sound effects for stories that I am reading. One time I was making some loud noises for a book during Reading class and Mrs. Jackson came into the room and told us we were too noisy! Her Health class was very distracted by the noises.
If you stranded on an island, what 3 items would you bring with you and why?
A barrel of fresh water - don't want to run out of water to drink!
Matches - to start a signal fire
A sleeping bag or blanket - so I don't have to sleep on the ground

Lady Raiders Win Tri-Central Holiday Tournament
On Saturday, December 20th, the Lady Raiders Varsity and JV Basketball team competed at the Tri- Central holiday tournament. Jessica's Book of the Week
Starting this week, I will be writing a post about the book that I have read or want to read. I will try to give you three reviews. These reviews will be for and against the book, then I will give my opinion of the book.
Some may think that the book Sixteenth Summer by Michelle Dalton, is all lovey-dovey, which may be true, but sometimes lovey-dovey books are the best. In one book review, from the website http://www.goodreads.com/, Lyndsey (screen name) rated the book 3 out of 5 stars. She thought that the book was too perfect and not enough real life problems. Sixteenth Summer had some neat events, but Lyndsey thought that the book didn't have enough grit, but thought it was a good book if you were into the lovey-dovey, perfect romance novels.
Ariana (screen name) rated Sixteenth Summer 5 out of 5 stars. She thought that the book was a great read. She loved following Anna's summer romance. Ariana thought that there was three stages during the book which falling in love, being in love, and the moment when you might have to stop falling in love. She loved falling Anna through all of the stages. Ariana loved the Sixteenth Summer.
I thought that Sixteenth Summer was a great book. I thought that the book was well writen. I loved watching Anna and Will's love story. I highly recommended this book, if you love girly love stories.

Do you remember 2014?
As we come back into school only truly one thing has changed, and that would be the year. With a new year comes new possibilities and new things, but what from last year in 2014 has influenced the change and the new things to come for the year 2015?
Better air traffic monitoring systems?
Better computer protection?
After a year filled with cyber attacks and hacks more and more people are becoming aware about how unsafe and untamed the web actually is, resulting in the need for better protection.
A new population of adults!
With a new year comes new graduates finally going out to pursue their dreams in the world. Making the new possible with fresh imaginations and education, the class of 2015 will take on the world head on and help improve it.
Better air traffic monitoring systems?
After the 2 missing Malaysian airlines, and the downed aircraft in Ukraine, a lot of time and resources are being spent to improve air traffic monitoring.

Northfield gets by Raiders
Tuesday night was not a good night to be a Raider. The Raiders did not perform to their best capabilities on a long, nasty night. We did not shoot very well at all. Our starters had foul problems early in the game. The Raiders were down 35 to 12 at one point and just never made it a game. The halftime score was 48 to 24. Coach Burman gave a great speech in the locker room during halftime time. The only problem is the team did not do what he had talked about. The Raiders ended up losing 81 to 52 in the end. The Raiders play Bluffton next game on Friday at Bluffton. JV tip off is at 6 pm, with the Varsity game to follow.

Raiders fall to the Knights
Saturday the Raiders traveled to a very tough Norwell team. The Raiders trailed for most of the game. The Raiders knew it would be a tough game to win, but knew that the Knights could make them better. Knowing Norwell is probably the best team on the Raider's schedule the Raiders knew if they could play good against the Knights then they could play with any team. The Raiders ended up falling to the Knights by a final score of 73-49. The Raiders took many positives from the game, and saw many things they can improve on. The Raiders next game is tuesday against Northfield.

Lady Raiders Fall to the Tigers
On Saturday, the Lady Raiders took on the Bluffton Lady Tigers in the team's second ACAC conference game. Both teams, JV and Varsity, both had prepared for the Lady Tiger offense and were ready to work hard during the games. The JV had a close game the entire way. In the beginning of the game, the Raiders took a 10-0 lead when the first time out was called. The lead began to switch back and forth between each team. The Raiders pulled away in the fourth quarter, winning 35-29.
The Varsity game did not fare so well. The Lady Raiders started the game out slow with Bluffton having a 6 point lead at the end of the first quarter. The Raiders tried to fight back, but it was nearly impossible. The Raiders scored a total of 10 points in the first half. The Raiders came out from half time and wanted to try and come back. The Lady Raiders ended up losing, 27-38.
The Raiders are back in action on Wednesday at Frankton, JV game starting at 6:00 p.m.

Raider wrestlers against Heritage
The Raiders represented well for the first dual meet of the year with a win. The meet started off strong with T.C. Perry and Ethan Smith both getting wins to kick things off. Nick Roberts came in for a long match against a heritage opponent that resulted in a loss of match but gave him opportunity to fix technique. After Nick's match came Jimmy McQueary's edge of seat match that came down to a literal last second take down to win the match. From there it seemed the raiders had gained a momentum that couldn't be stopped, especially with Seniors Jacob Stout, Daniel Beeks, and Paul Renner showing their experience on the mat each walking away 1-0 on the season. The next dual meet is Thursday December 11, against the Bluffton Tigers at 6:30pm, and they also face a tournament in Lapel Saturday December 13, starting at 9:30am.
